Hold'em Manager 2 Updates PokerStars Support
It is tough to succeed in online poker without the help of a
HUD and a corresponding
poker tracking database. Many players choose
Hold'em Manager 2 due to its robust, flexible HUD, its powerful database, and the availability of many apps in the HM App Store.
Another reason players choose
Hold'em Manager 2 is that the programmers are always on top of their game with new releases to fix bugs, add improvements, and keep up with changes that take place at online poker rooms.
Let's face it, without updates, your HUD and poker tracking database can quickly become obsolete.
On July 6,
Hold'em Manager released Beta Version 2.0.0.8446. Even though it is in Beta, the programmers have done many tests and doubt there will be any serious issues with the release.
That being said, they do recommend that extra caution be taken since not all of the tests they normally perform for a full release were completed. They recommend that if using the new release, you do so with a new database in the small chance that problems arise.
The latest release addresses issues solely related to poker sites. For PokerStars, they fixed an issue related to importing hand histories after the world's largest poker room updated its client.
They also added support for the popular progressive bounty tournaments for any newly imported tournaments. Customers can also update older tournaments by recreating their database. Another issue related to bounties is that the issue was fixed when a bounty was not recorded in the last hand of a tournament.
A pair of improvements also are featured for players who play on the iPoker Network. The HUD will now automatically be detected in the new iPoker client and hand history detection is also improved.
For players on PartyPoker, the HUD will now work on Fast-Forward tables without a restart. This is great news since there are no table dynamics playing this fast-fold game, so relying on your HUD is of utmost importance.
While PKR recently migrated to the Microgaming Network, they kept the look and feel of their 3-D software. The latest
Hold'em Manager 2 release addressed a pair of changes specific to this online poker room including using Euro currency for cash games and fixing an issue where hole cards weren't being detected at showdown.
